Sometimes, trying to make sense of manifestation and exactly how it works spiritually and scientifically can seriously overwhelm people. Things like quantum physics, vibrations, frequencies, energy, wavelengths and whatever else tend to get thrown around in the mix and make everything feel far-fetched and abstract.

The ideas of manifestation carry throughout cultures and beliefs all throughout history. Even if you can’t connect with or get behind all the mumbo jumbo of how the universe works, you can still benefit substantially and improve your life by implementing these manifestation techniques.

If you don’t consider yourself religious or spiritual in any way, there’s still no arguing with scientific evidence of placebo’s and the effect our minds have on our physical health, overall fulfillment, and joy in life.

If you choose to believe that meeting one or multiple amazing people is in your future, why on earth would you fear going to a social event or striking up a conversation with someone who piques your interest? If you have manifested and have faith that you are going to get a job that is perfect for you, will you give up after one rejection? No!

Practicing trust in the universe or God or river spirits to bring you exactly what you need when you need it really makes life a heck of a lot easier. So, with all of that in mind, here are some fabulous manifestation techniques you can implement in your life for fun.

Meditation and Affirmations

This one is a bit obvious and simple, but there are many different ways to do these practices. For meditation, you can have silence, music, or a guided meditation for manifesting. If you have a hard time meditating during the day, try sleep meditations! There are plenty on YouTube.

Another classic manifestation technique is practicing positive affirmations. Make sure they are positive! And keep saying, writing, and thinking about them until you really FEEL the joy and hope from believing those things. Repetition is how we remember things! Why not replace the hurtful and troubling things with happy thoughts?

Practicing Letting Go

An unfortunate but crucial part of manifestation includes not fixating and worrying about everything so intensely. When we stress about and cling to what we want we are thinking more about the fear of it not happening rather than simply trusting the universe (or whatever else you may believe in) to provide it for you in divine timing.

 In order to truly allow what we want to actually manifest into our lives we need to send it out into the universe, and trust that it is on its way.

As long as gratitude, trust, and a growth mindset is practiced, it is only a matter of time.

Visualization & Vision Boards

Vision boards are a great way to visualize your dreams, but there are other ways as well if you want to try more! There are a lot of guided meditations on youtube for visualization that are very helpful.

Try to focus on even more than only what you are seeing. What do you feel in your perfect future? What do you hear and smell? Go through all your senses and anything that can make it feel more real.

Take the time to write about the things that are most important to you. Write about what you want and why you want it.

Scripting

Scripting is when you write about the things you want to manifest as if you already have them. Write about how grateful you feel that the universe has given you exactly what you wanted and how much you love it being in your life.

Writing positive affirmations rather than just saying them aloud or in your head can be even more powerful. Again, Repetition is key for this.

Doing repetitive affirmations in my notes app was something that really made the difference during times of difficult depression. I just wrote down the opposite of whatever negative thoughts popped into my head. It ended up looking something like this:

I matter

It’s okay to struggle

My worth is so much more than my productivity level

I am loved more than I could possibly understand

I am wonderful

Just take it one step at a time

I love myself so much no matter what

And this would just keep going until I started to feel better. Sometimes I would repeat one of the affirmations multiple times if it felt like I REALLY needed to hear and internalize it.

Affirmations really help to rewire your thinking patterns and dig yourself out of an emotional spiral.

Goal Setting and Taking Action

Think of small goals you can achieve to get closer to the big idea. If you focus on taking it one day at a time, it will be much easier to make progress.

You can believe in your dreams coming to you more and more, but it is crucial that you put yourself in a place where the things you want can actually reach you. If you are manifesting a romantic relationship, it will be a lot harder for that relationship to find you if you aren’t interacting with others on a regular basis.

If your big goal is to save $100,000 start with thinking of what you can start doing now with the resources you have. Give yourself mini milestones like having $200 more saved by the end of the month.

The main goal of manifestation lies also in the psychology of an opportunistic mindset. If you believe that money is looking for you, you are more likely to try something out and see where it goes! Whether that be a business idea or a book on finance, having a more open mind and drive for success can be incredibly helpful when going for your goals!

Reading Books

These two books will turn you into a manifestation master!

There are so many amazing examples of people’s lives changing for the better and the methods that got them to that point.

So much value is in both books and reading or listening to them can completely transform your perspective on reality.

Physical reminders and Symbolic Practices

Pillow method

  • Write your manifestation affirmation on a piece of paper then place it underneath your pillow. When you go to lay down or are waking up, repeat the affirmation multiple times.

Manifestation box

  • This method is when you have a special box to put your manifestations into on pieces of paper. You visualize energy flowing into the box. Then, when you put it away, you trust that the manifestation box will do its job!

Mirror method

  • This one is simple. While looking into a mirror, say out loud positive affirmations regarding your manifestation.

Crystals, religious symbols, etc

  • Pretty much every religion/ belief system around the world has some sort of symbolism. Many women take interest in the power of crystals and rocks, and christians can be seen wearing cross necklaces. Symbolism and objects of reminders can be very powerful for manifestation and faith.
  • You can find any special object or trinket to infuse with your hopes, dreams, affirmations, and manifestations. Use this special object as a reminder of the good coming your way. You can also use it to ground you in times of distress or anxiety. Just take the time to hold it or feel it and focus on how it feels and what it means to you. This technique can be seriously helpful in your day to day life.

Changing your habits and making room

I got this concept from Tam Kaur! In her youtube video “HOW TO MANIFEST YOUR DREAM LIFE | ATTRACT ALL OF YOUR DESIRES USING THESE METHODS” she talks about the importance of welcoming whatever it is you want by making a space for it like you know it is already on the way to you.

Practice Gratitude 24/7

This is like THE MOST important step for manifestation. If you don’t have this down, it is the first thing you need to work on. If you are actively thinking and writing down things you are grateful for, you won’t have to wait for the happiness your manifestation will bring you.

 

Plus, it will do exactly what you want it to, aka raise your vibrations so the things you want chase after you.

 

Practicing gratitude is so simple and it makes the biggest difference.
